Hunter Education/Firearm Safety:
Classes are held at the Clubhouse several times each summer. Certified instructors teach the classes and hold "hands on" training sessions to familiarize students with various firearms and archery equipment.
Thank-you to the NRA Foundation for helping make our Hunter Education Program a success with their continued support.

Clubhouse Maintenance:
The clubhouse is a historical log building built by Civilian Conservation Corp during the Great Depression in the USA. The building is situated on a 40-acre parcel leased from the Village of Lake Linden. Because of the nature of the building construction regular work and expenditures are required to maintain the building. For example the roof was replaced several years ago and the exterior was painted one year ago. Work bees are held at least twice a year to help maintain the Clubhouse and its grounds and the shooting range facilities.
Deer Feeding:
Historically, we have given a high priority to helping deer survive the harsh Keweenaw winters. A large portion of our funds is dedicated for winter deer survival. As sportsmen, we have observed first hand the benefits of this feeding program. Due to the extreme winter conditions, the Keweenaw deer population is low. The feeding program helps keep the herd at a socially acceptable level. Click on the Feed the Deer button below to help!
